One time I had friends over and we were all cooking dinner together, we decided upon teriyaki chicken. We grilled up the chicken breasts and it was delicious! You could even use chicken thighs for juicer cut of chicken or even stir fry it in a pan with some veggies!
1/2 cup gluten free soy sauce
2 cups water or ( 1 cup water / 1 cup rice vinegar)
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
10 teaspoons light brown sugar
1-2 teaspoons honey ( optional)
4 tablespoons corn starch
1/2 cup water
Mix all six ingredients together in a sauce pan. Begin heating over medium high. Once it starts to simmer reduce to low and continue to simmer.
Next, take a small container or jar and shake together 1/2 cup water and 4 tablespoons corn starch.
Whisk into sauce in pan and continue heating on low till thickened.
Can be stored in fridge for 1 week or used to marinate meat*.
* If marinating meat with it, let cool for 1 hour
