Crab Cakes

Growing up we didn’t really eat seafood, except for fish sticks ( till I found out they were fish) ha. Then in highschool I started getting into crab cakes. After eating healthier in my diet, I am starting to put crab into my dinners.

 Crab Cakes

1 pound (4-5 cans) crab leg meat ( I like the brand Keisha, safeway sells it)
1 egg or egg white
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1-2 green onions, finely chopped
1/3-1/2 cup crushed crackers
Old bay seasoning


  • Mix all ingredients in a large bowl
  • Form into patties( about 6-8 patties)
  • Heat a skillet to medium heat
  • Cook crab cake patties on skillet, till browned on each side
  • Serve warm!

Serving Suggestions

Serve with a salad and couscous!
